The Texas A&M 12th Man Foundation (similar to the Rams Club at UNC) reported total assets of $287,973,994, and liabilities of $48,481,379, leaving net assets of $239,492,615 in their 2022 tax filing. They also reported contributions of $135 million during the year, with much of that from 4 major donors as part of a capital campaign. I also read that one of those four donors just bought a 130+ acre Caribbean estate for $136 million. So it looks like coming up with only $77 million to buy out a football coach was no big deal. Must be nice to have a few oil men among your alumni.

"We were in the center ring the whole night,'' longtime Davidson coach Bob McKillop said. ''We were not on the ropes. We were not on the mat. We were in the center ring slugging away, and we just ran out of time.''

Good God. Does anybody really know what time it is? Does anybody really care?

I (still) don't have a watch, but I did retire last week, so I'm not currently working, and I guess that I don't really care (either).
Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
If so I can't imagine why.

Well then Mr Mac at least has time enough to cry.
But he probably doesn’t care enough about college football to cry

Speaking of Indiana Basketball, has any one ever seen a Hoosier Mascot at one of their games?

Congratulations on your retirement MrMac. I’m a good number of years ahead of you in that regard, but I can assure you that you will be quite pleased once you get adjusted to your new lifestyle. Cheers!

That is reassuring, as it has mostly been disorientation for me and MrsMac. Our most common question to one another: do you know what day it is?
Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
Enjoy that while you can. I was hoping to go to Mint Hill to see my aunt after Christmas, but we were both busy on different days. I didn’t see any family at all over the holidays, but she and I did have a couple of long phone calls to catch up on everyone.
My watch reminds me of my schedule. It gives me the score after each quarter of women’s games and half of men’s. Generally I’m at the games. It knows when I am sleeping. It knows when I’m awake. It’s standard of bad and good relates to activity and exercise. In navigation, it pokes me on the wrist just before turns. It knows where I parked my car without my doing any prompting.
Doctors appointments, bridge, and basketball games fill up my schedule, and I generally avoid playing bridge. I’m getting ready to go to the dentist, and then straight from there to the duplicate bridge game. Tomorrow will involve getting my entourage out to eat pizza and to the game, age range 13 to 95. Wednesday is the flight to DCA, early supper in Fairfax, and the women’s game. I won’t say those are typical days, but not particularly unusual.

Mac: welcome to the Senior Kool Aid club! The only downside I have experienced is that federal holidays are not as big deal as they had been previously. Cheers, KAO.
