The Kool-Aid list reflects publicly available sources, typically internet recruiting or social media sites (e.g., Rivals.com, Verbalcommits.com, Twitter, etc.), and published reports. The list is maintained for entertainment purposes only. It contains no information received from coaches or recruits. It should be updated approximately every five pages. For purposes of calculating open scholarships, this list assumes that Foster Loyer has 2 years of eligibility remaining, reported non-scholarship players are still non-scholarship and that no other players will take an extra COVID year. Also, the list now separates players who are reported to visit, or have visited, Davidson. Finally, to cut down on the length of the list, I have removed all but Davidson-committed 2021 players as the 2023 contact period is now open.

2021 Transfers (1 scholarship open):

He looks like he plays the game at his own pace. Never in a huge rush. Of course these are highlghts, but if true he will be special.

Fun. I may have learn to Icelandic just to hear Styrmir's opinion about the big gent from Keflavik in the Herman Munster shoes. I think I can tell just from the body language.

Connor Essegian announcing his top 7 tomorrow. He was supposed to visit Davidson at one point. Haven't heard any confirmation that visit occurred. His recruitment has really taken off.

His list does not include Davidson.

And chirping. Love it. We need some players that other teams can hate. Gerry, Landry, Wayne, Matt, Jack. How about that? Three of those have been part of the staff. And two of them are with us now. Maybe we're going to get nasty, start bullying some people. I miss the days where soft teams (Georgetown, Wisconsin, UNCG, etc) would complain that Davidson is too physical.

check out the patched up bloody nose when he's shooting free throws at the 9:00 min. mark. Not afraid to get nasty.

He needs to learn JAG's move of twisting 180 degrees at the end of his drives to the basket so he can land on his butt and slide backwards across the floor while looking at the ref. Jack was pretty good at that, too, so maybe Coach Gibbs can work with Styrmer.
"We were in the center ring the whole night,'' longtime Davidson coach Bob McKillop said. ''We were not on the ropes. We were not on the mat. We were in the center ring slugging away, and we just ran out of time.''

Reported offer to 2022 Ben Shtolzberg 6’4 PG Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks, CA).

Ben Shtolzberg cutting list to 6 Sunday. Haven’t seen much connecting Davidson to him since the reported offer.

https://twitter.com/jakelieberman2/stat ... 72517?s=21

The following interview suggests these may be the 6 schools:

“It’s come down to like six schools, right now. We haven’t cut the list down, but the main schools are Creighton, Northwestern, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Butler, and Xavier. We don’t know what might happen after this live period, but that’s it right now. They are all great schools who I think could be great fits for me, especially Butler.”

Ben Shtolzberg's list does not include Davidson, but, interestingly, he could still see Jake Cohen, as his list does include Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Thanks. I hadn't heard.

I met an Israeli couple who live near Tel Aviv when I was in Venice, and then I saw them a few more times on our ship. When they got home, they bragged to people that they had met someone who knew Jake Cohen. Then Harley search for me on the internet and found my email. He wrote me that if I was the person he knew, to send him a friend request on Facebook. So we are Facebook friends.

My old roommate’s reaction:
It may be hard to keep this guy out of the lineup.

He goes on to say that he looks for his shot instead of looking for the “star” to pass to. He sees that as a fault of our recent teams. I replied that it looked that way to me in the 2009-2010 team, who often seemed to be looking for Curry to be open, but somehow never saw him on the court, and then would make a desperation throw toward the basket at the end of the clock. I’m sure that is somewhat unfair, but it is what I remember.

I live in Virginia and graduated from Davidson. I know the Hartman family. Dad is the head basketball coach at Wilson Memorial High School and won a state championship as the girls coach at the former Robert E. Lee High in Staunton, VA. Jaxon has reclassified to the 2023 class and attends the Miller School in Crozet, VA now. He’ll be playing with several division 1 prospects including Austin Ball and Ant Davis, Jr. There was an article about it in our local paper:
