Reported offer to 2022 Ben Shtolzberg 6’4 PG Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks, CA).

Ben Shtolzberg cutting list to 6 Sunday. Haven’t seen much connecting Davidson to him since the reported offer.

The following interview suggests these may be the 6 schools:

“It’s come down to like six schools, right now. We haven’t cut the list down, but the main schools are Creighton, Northwestern, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Butler, and Xavier. We don’t know what might happen after this live period, but that’s it right now. They are all great schools who I think could be great fits for me, especially Butler.”

It should be fun to watch Davidson commit Reed Bailey and Richmond commit and former Davidson recruit Michael Walz competing against each other for 4 years. I hope both young men have great college careers, but that Bailey has a decidedly better one than Walz.
"We were in the center ring the whole night,'' longtime Davidson coach Bob McKillop said. ''We were not on the ropes. We were not on the mat. We were in the center ring slugging away, and we just ran out of time.''

Davidson interest in 2022 Connor Essegian 6'4 SG, Central Noble HS (Fort Wayne, IN)

Connor Essegian announcing his top 7 tomorrow. He was supposed to visit Davidson at one point. Haven't heard any confirmation that visit occurred. His recruitment has really taken off.

Just awesome. You can see what a competitor he is and he is money at the line.

Davidson is really bringing in a bunch of winners this fall.

Styrmir and Þór Þorlákshöfn won the Icelandic championship

Des Watson and DeSales played in the State Championship.

Chris Ford and North Meck went to the State Semis

These guys are good, competitive and used to winning. The future is looking bright.

And thanks to the announcer's call, we now know how to pronounce Styrmir's name: apparently it has to be delivered with a excited shout. 😁

Love the way he attacks the basket. Inside-outside game is hard to defend. Nice, natural shooting motion with a pretty quick release. The play at 8:12 also shows he has a bit of swagger. Finds open teammates. Can go end to end in a hurry. Very skilled. He has the kind of body that will allow him to add some weight and strength easily. (Dad (I assume that's who he's hugging at the end of the game) is a solid block.) Excellent court awareness--relocates and finds space naturally and efficiently. Comfortable with the left hand. Willing to take the big shot and knocks down FTs at critical points in the game.

I think he'll get significant minutes as a freshman. Very, very good pickup.

He also has an offer from Holy Cross, where his father played. Chris Logan '83 played PF and averaged 15.6 ppg in his senior season. He was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers but didn't play in the NBA. This is a nice read about him. It certainly looks like Sean and the Logans would be a great addition to the Wildcat family.

I've been watching videos of him for the last few days. Here's my favorite. It's from 12 months ago, on outdoor courts: https://sportsrecruits.com/athlete/sean ... deo=588358

I've also been checking up on Ifeanyi (Ify) Ufochukwu from a bit closer to campus. Both young men are racking up the offers.
