SLU was down 12. Came back to four and had a 3 attempt to get to 1 but missed with 30 secs. left. So Ill kept missing FTs, but SLU couldn't make buckets.

With just under 2 minutes to play, VCU had the ball and a 3 point lead. They've had 2 turnovers and 2 missed shots since. Still up 1 with 6 seconds left. Texas ball after the timeout.

Rams win!
Texas down 1 drives into middle of lane with 4 secs left. Rather than put up a short jumper and use massive size advantage for offensive rebound if missed, TX kicks it out for a 3 pt attempt that misses at buzzer.
54-53. Ugly shooting game.

That was some ugly basketball by both teams. VCU won the game, but they didn't look very good in doing so. Fortunately, Texas shot 24% from three and had 17 turnovers. Some of that was good defense by VCU, but Texas missed a lot of wide-open threes.
