College athletic webpage story on game has lead photo of CC - not any of the starters. Also, notes two attendance promotions - ugly tee shirt for first two hundred students, and a five dollar admission for adults donating a stuffed animal to Toys for Youngsters. Don't know how much pub distributed on either of these ways to get fannies in the seats.

Lots of students walked in, collected the free t-shirt, and walked back out. There was lots of good stuff at the annual athletic department yard sale.

I got three 2009-2010 era jerseys. The red one Steph wore in late 2009, and the white and black ones from the following season. Unfortunately, no numbers on them. Funny, I left my coat on a pile of football jerseys, when I came back to retrieve it I spotted my jacket on the back of a chair where folks were paying for their goodies. Beth Hayford then informed me that someone tried to buy my coat.

I realize not many will believe me, but I have the shooting shirt seen in this commercial. There's a sharpied "30" on the tag. As KM and graveline can attest, this style of yard sale swag is cursed. We've lost every time I've worn it. Graveline famously tossed his in the men's room trash can at Town Table in Elon during halftime of a game we were losing. Cats came back and won that game. |

I was looking for a white 2008 #25 game jersey and a white 2015 #20 game jersey.
If you have them, keep them, because they're desirable things to own. The #25 was worn by Steph after his #30 got bloodied against The Citadel in what may have been Davidson's "best" win before the new year. The #20 was worn by T$ after a similar mishap against VCU in the last home game in 2015, a satisfyingly huge blowout win.
Scenes featuring those players wearing those numbers in videos were plants for people who tend to peel the onion several layers. You know who you are. |
