Ive heard he can shoot it very well. Been surprised that we haven’t seen it more. |
Bob said he shoots it well in practice, but he has lacked the confidence to take in a game. _________________ "We should've thrown our number 7 pitcher against Davidson......" Post by Tar Heel baseball fan 16 minutes into the game. |

This may be the first game this season we played *well*. I still don’t the team has been particularly good, yet we are 4-1 and have 2 top 100 NEUTRAL court wins. |

To use a loaded term, Carter Collins has gotten to be downright pesky on the defensive end of the floor. Nice team win tonight. The production from Luka in the second half was huge. He certainly isn’t afraid to initiate the violent downward thrusting action. |

Luka demonstrated the violent downward thrusting after the NE guy showed him how efficient it was.
The Huskies were either smart or dirty. They pulled stunts away from the action, like the flagrant 1 and pulling David C's jersey, and tried to draw fouls through thespian antics. One a late 3 pointer, one of their guys acted as if he'd been shot. The problem was he'd released the ball long before the defender went by him. |

Good win. Several narratives got better today.
As for the broadcast, a rare instance of silent footage being better than the footage with its audio. Not just some of the time, but all of the time. And the commercials gave me Ronco/Popeil flashbacks, especially when that sharpened credit card was used to cut a tomato. Was waiting for them to imply that a bottle and jar cutter incorporates military technology. |

Very nice win for a very young team. We are now 4-1, while not having played to our potential in a single game. Confidence will be soaring now thru Thanksgiving until we meet again with a tough NE squad net Saturday. Lads deserve to feel good about themselves, recharge their batteries and come back next week to handle the Huskies again. _________________ All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for men of good will to do nothing. After 4 games a day for 4 days they are out of things to say. Every now and the next Dorp and me go full Depeche Mode on the last 30 minutes home and enjoy the silence(and the ride), as all topics have been addressed _________________ If anyone disagrees with anything I say, I am quite prepared not only to retract it, but also to deny under oath that I ever said it |

Well, they could call the game. That is doable no matter how many games you've called in a short time. |

In other news, I like this Purdue team. I don't think that will look anything like a bad loss for us. _________________ "There ain't no sanity clause!" Chico Marx |

They are already up by eight at halftime. Like our game with Purdue, the Hokies are being out-shot and out-rebounded. Also, like our game, a lead by Purdue is seldom narrowed. It will be interesting to see if Tech can do any better in the second half. |

Had to watch the replay because of another commitment. Good to have a comfortable win on a night when neither Kellan nor JAG looked great. Luka and Frampton both look to be getting more comfortable. Carter showing a ton of confidence. Dz looked good. Both Dusan and Nate looked good. Definitely a good bounce back game. _________________ This is a post by BDF, not BDL. |

Nice tournament. Nothing really great aside from the obvious 33 from 3, but lots of things to like:
- So many young players, but this team's defense seems pretty effective. Part of it is Luka's very realistic view of what he should do when challenging, and his ability to stick his long arms straight up and stay there.
- Part of it may be that we have some pretty annoying players. I'd bet that the flagrant 1 committed against Luke will not be the last we see of that or technicals this year. Carter will also probably inspire some of that action.
- Luke's FTs are pure. And he does seem to do some things on defense as if by magic.
- When this team has a good shooting night, it could be a sight to behold. They have some shooters.
- With the need for DZ to play extended minutes, and as well as he played, it looks like we have a solid 8 man rotation (counting Dusan and Nate as 1 guy), which is really good for keeping players somewhat rested. That could pay off big later in the year. |
