Balanced attack with three players in double figures, led by 5-8 G Tiera Wilson's 14 ppg off the bench. 6-4 C Bayley Plummer averages 12.5 rpg.
43% 2FG, 19% 3FG, 77% FT. Plus 4 on the boards, 17 topg.
According to raptorcat, your Butler football ticket will get you into this basketball game.

Go Cats!
P.S. As of this writing, five Wildcats are averaging 10 or more points per game, and none of them are named Justine Lyon. Nice. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

App State won their game against UNCG last night, 68-65. I watched part of the first half while waiting for our game to start. The win bumped them up to #296 according to Massey.
They have quickness and speed in the backcourt, will push it up the floor, and will attack the paint. They were 5-24 from deep, 19-58 overall, but they made 25 of 28 FTs.
Perimeter D + transition D + minimal turnovers = win. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

I guess a dedicated fan would drive up from Charleston and drive back for Sunday. I met Bates Jones’ dad last night, who in fatherly loyalty will heading to Clemson tomorrow for the Duke game and then will consider driving back here for Sunday’s game.
So many who regularly attend the women’s games are here that the Saturday night crowd could be sparse. Use your football tickets to get into the basketball game and take our places. _________________ Μεγάλη ἡμÎÏα εἶναι ΛÏγξ |

Both teams man-to-man. Cats up early, 10-5.
U5, 15-14, Cats. Both teams getting looks, shooting well.
1:34, 24-17, ASU on a 17-2 run.
End of 1st qtr, 29-21, ASU. They are 12-17 from the floor, 3-3 from deep, and are winning the boards, 12-4. Kianna has 6, Cassidy with 4. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

2nd qtr, 9:02, 34-21, timeout Cats.
Cats clawing back, 34-28, 7:34. Kianna sharp from deep tonight, she has 9.
Crazy game, 34-34, Cats on 13-0 run, with the ball.
Halftime, 45-44, Cats, thanks in large part to a 17-0 run. Kianna has 12, all from deep, Sarah with 10, Justine has 8. Three blocks for Ally to go along with 6 pts. Cassidy has 6 assists, Katie 4.
Catching up on the boards. App has cooled off a bit, 18-36 from the field, 4-9 from deep. We're 19-36 and 7-14.
One of you experts, please comment. On high ball screens, the ASU bigs are rolling to the basket precisely when our guard tries to go under the screen. I thought this was changed to a moving screen a few years ago. Refs not calling it obviously, and it's hurting us.
And, yes, Live Stats had the wrong score for most of the half. It's correct now. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

3rd qtr, 6:05, 8-0 run, 52-45, ASU. Suddenly this has turned into a bump-and-grind affair. Cats missing easy shots.
4:05, 56-49, ASU.
End of 3rd qtr, 65-62, ASU. Three Cats in double figures now, Sarah has 17, Kianna 15, and Katie 12. Katie has been getting to the rim and finishing, much improved in that area this season. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

4th qtr, 6:50, 72-64, ASU.
3:59, 78-69. Need stops.
1:21, 78-74, ASU. Kianna to the line... make, make, 78-76.
Kianna draws a charge, Cats ball again, timeout, 63 seconds left.
Sarah hits from outside, 78-78, 40 seconds.
Ugh, App hits a three, 81-78, 22 seconds, timeout Cats.
Kianna misses, Ally rebounds, Katie misses, Cassidy rebounds. Timeout, Davidson. Still 10 seconds left.
** Final, 81-78, ASU. Tough loss, but a good game by both teams. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity.

Sarah had a career high 22 on 10-15 shooting. Ally with a double-double, 10 pts and 11 rebs. Katie with 12 pts and 8 asts, equaling her career high. Kianna with 17, including 5 triples. Cassidy had 9 on 4-5 FG, along with 6 assists.
Minus 9 on the boards, but 6 fewer turnovers than them, and we blocked 6 shots against a taller, bouncier team. ASU was very good from deep, 8-19. We were 11-27.
Next up, the Cats visit Asheville on Wednesday. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |
