Sounds like the kind of team that sets new school records for shooting 3s when they play us. _________________ Μεγάλη ἡμÎÏα εἶναι ΛÏγξ |

Will be interesting to see if their 7 footer Asbjørn Midtgaard returns from a concussion. If he doesn't should still expect to see plenty of 6'11" Jaime Echenique. Should be a good challenge for Luka. |

I wouldn't worry about Asbjorn, he played sparingly last season as a freshman and it doesn't appear he's made a giant leap in his progression this year. He's a huge body but he lacks aggressiveness and is not very assertive on the court. In addition, he's not terribly quick. We lost 9 players from last year's team and have many first year D1 players on this year's squad that will play tonight.
You can see our inexperience and lack of chemistry by the results of our first two games. We shouldn't have lost to LA Tech and we should've lost to Providence but the exact opposite occurred. This team is Jeckyll and Hyde or like a box of chocolates. McDuffie had the game of his life last week against Providence that was impetus we needed to get the win against the Friars, but he can't be counted on to deliver that type of effort every night.
This team will get better as the season progresses. Team chemistry will develop, some players will become leaders, players will find their roles, and Coach will set the right line ups but right now, he's experimenting and the players are learning. I wish I could offer you a solid prediction but we're so darn young, we could win by 12 or lose by 15, too hard to tell with this group of youngsters. |

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. As the tallest opposing player Davidson has seen this season was 6'9", I am interested in how our young center, Brajkovic, handles facing someone his size or taller. The Wildcats are also figuring out who they are at this early point in the season, so, it should make for a compelling, if unpredictable, matchup. Hopefully, the Shockers learn some good lessons tonight in a narrow loss and go undefeated the rest of the way until we meet again in the NCAAT. |
