I've made it a personal tradition to read Splinter Factions HOF post "Some Thoughts About the Shot" before the start of each season.

There are three, among the many excellent posts in the HOF section, that I read and re-read, and enjoy more each time I do so. This is not the least of those three. Thank you, Splinter, for framing that moment so well, and thanks to BDF for commending the post to us. |

That HOF post is even better than I remembered it. And it was pretty damn perfect the first time.
Required preseason reading.
