I don't appear until 0:07.

Gray from head to toe.

Optical illusion from the low resolution. I am wearing a red-and-black checked shirt for the occasion. The checks are small. If you enlarge the video in your browser and know what you are looking for, you can probably make out the checks.*

Head, yes, but not toe. My shoes are medium tan New Balance walking shoes.

*Please make out checks payable to "Stephen F. Lee."

It's always nice to have our assessment confirmed by the Coach.

From the coaches' event last night: Bob wants to call Carter Collins "the Sheriff" because he locks up the other teams best player.

Unrelated, I heard a new coachism. "Michael Jones's arms are so long he can tie his shoes without bending over."

Lastly, I don't know much about the women's program, but talked to coach Gayle for a while before the program and she is really excited about her team and is promising to put an exciting program on the court with a lot of full court press. I think I need to get to some of those games this year.

There's new sheriff in town and his name is Carter Collins.

Forgive me. I’m picturing Carter in Blazing Saddles.

I've heard him use the basketball Jones/tie own shoelaces one before.

The women's games are fun again, and could become more so. I'm sorry to have missed Gayle's talk. The archaeology program was great: very enthusiastic speaker demonstrating how pottery, architectural features, and coinage found show that revolt against Rome was inevitable two generations later. A new neighbor attended and waited for me afterward to explain. He's a non-practicing Jew, he tells me, so that was a lot of his interest. He's also a new men's basketball season-ticket holder and FBC member, so the other event would have been of interest to him, also.

1972 had some redeeming moments. Mel Brooks gave us Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein that year.

'72, '74- one of those years when I was too young to have any concept of time.

BDF: The first time I heard "arms are so long he can tie his shoes without bending over," it was when Donald Washington was flunking out of Carolina.
