Since 1964 or '65, Davidson's 100 yard/meter record has been held by Alan Turner with a time of 10.62. That takes his 100 yard record and converts it to meters.

This year our list of records says our record is 10.80 and was set in the spring of 2018. 10.62 is a better time than 10.80.

Maybe 10.80 is the best time anyone has run the 100 meters and someone considers the converted 100 yard record as tainted.

Turner held the 220 yard/200 meter record until 2018, too, but I think the new 200 record holder beat Turner's converted 220 yard record.

How long do you have to hold a record in popular track events to merit selection to the Hall of Fame?
