The ACC announced their Tournament will be in DC in '21 and Brooklyn in '22. Since the ACC and A10 Tournaments are the same week/weekend, they can't be in the same arena.
Does the A10 return to Brooklyn for '19 & '20?
I've attended the A10 Tournament in Brooklyn and DC. DC is better because you can drive and leave when Davidson's visit is over.
My preference for DC might be influenced by Davidson's performance in the tournament I attended there. |

I liked the result in DC, and I have a classmate in Alexandria and my old roommate is in Chevy Chase, so no hotel costs. Amtrak to Alexandria is handy and usually cheap. Flights to DCA can be a bargain, too. I chose to fly when I went up for a GW game. It is about as handy to pick me up at the airport as it is at the train station.
I seem to recall that we are in Brooklyn for two years, yes. I plan to go this time. The first time I had just been to NYC in December to attend the game at MSG. The Carolinian got to Penn Station about a minute early. We got to see Rockefeller Center and the stores decorated for Christmas, which I hadn't done before. So I passed on Brooklyn in March. I don't know what happened the next year, maybe inertia.
Pittsburgh was great. We kept winning games, so I didn't have time for sightseeing until Sunday. I think the league was pleased with the locale, maybe the best one ever, I heard. It was great for all those Ohio families, fans, and former players. The team hotel there is a tourist destination in itself. I had just changed planes in Pittsburgh back when it was a hub, so I had seen the town just from the air, which looks great (hence my choice of a window seat). Train service from here would be tedious, I think. The drive would not be bad if weather cooperates.
