That game is a sore point among Wildcat fans. Harvard's star was Allison Feaster, who was from Chester, SC. For reasons unknown to anyone, Davidson did not recruit her. She played in the WNBA and Europe for several years.

George Mason lost at VPI, 78-69. Natalie Butler had 26 pts and 20 rebs for her 33rd double-double of the season, matching a couple of NCAA D1 records. What a season she had.

St. Joes was never in it at West Virginia, falling 79-51.

Fordham used a strong 3rd quarter to win at Drexel, 63-60. Bre Cavanaugh had 32 pts and 8 rebs. The Rams will play VPI next, this coming Thursday, I believe.

Duquesne visits Georgetown at 7 pm this evening in the WNIT. Along with Fordham, the Dukes are all we have left playing in the A10.

However, for those of you who are already in withdrawal and in need of a fix after the crazy weekend, who are tired of watching mediocre P5 teams in the men's NIT, and who like watching good offense, I recommend the NCAA Women's D2 Elite Eight game between Ashland and Montana State-Billings, also at 7 pm ET.

Ashland, defending national champs and winners of 71 in a row, is coached by Davidson grad Robyn Flewelling Fralick, '04. She has now coached 104 games in her career and is already 100 games over .500.

The Eagles are Massey #29 in all of women's college hoops. Montana St. is #281. Just for comparison, Davidson is currently at #227.

MSUB is a Cinderella team. They're #41 in the DII only ratings.

In this tournament, they're a 7-seed in an 8-bracket setup. They would be a 13 or a 14-seed in the bracket setup we're accustomed to. Nice run for them, so far.

Duke is beating up Georgia, 35-14 at the half, in a game being played in Athens.

Buffalo is leading FSU 46-32. It's been a good year for both Buffalo teams.

Central Michigan, an 11 seed, beat Ohio State 95-78. Buffalo, also an 11, beat FSU. Duke held on to beat Georgia, 66-40.

Runs by high seeded teams are more rare in women's basketball, due to the 15 scholarships each P5 team can award.

Duquesne over G-town, 69-66. Omogrosso led the way again. Next up, St. John's on Thursday.

Not the cleanest game from Ashland in winning 91-73. Semis on Wednesday.

Ashland advances to play Indiana U of Pennsylvania-which is coached by Tommy McConnell '83. There will be a Wildcat in the championship game.

With all of the upsets in the men's D1 tournament, some people are suggesting that they re-seed the Sweet Sixteen. Not a fan of this idea.

In this tournament, they re-seeded the Elite Eight. Ashland is the only higher re-seeded team that won.

Much better, somewhat less frenetic game from Ashland tonight, as they dismantled IUP, 92-68. They’ll face Central Missouri for all the marbles on Friday at 8 pm ET.

Today's A10 games...

Duquesne @ St. John's
Fordham @ Virginia Tech

Both games are WNIT Sweet Sixteen games. Both games tip at 7-ish pm ET.

Duquesne fell, 65-52.

Fordham got blasted, 81-50. Va Tech's Regan Magarity had 17 pts and 9 rebs in that one.

Win streak over. Central Missouri pulled away late to beat Ashland, 66-52.

Ashland missed 22 shots in-close, some contested, some not. Really good game from the Jennies, both ends of the floor.
