As of this writing, #214 at #137. 19% chance. 68-57 predicted score.
The Tribe is led by 5-8 junior Bianca Boggs (17.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg), 6-4 sophomore Abby Rendle (14.3 ppg, 8.8 rpg, 5.7 bpg), 5-10 sophomore Victoria Reynolds (12.3 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 3.5 apg), and 5-7 senior Jenna Green (12.0 ppg, 5.7 apg).
W&M's record is 4-1. They played a lot of extended 3-2 zone in their most recent game (Loyola MD), and also pressed full court, funneling shooters toward Rendle, who had 7 blocks against the Greyhounds. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

Starters... Katie, Andrea, Justine, Saeeda, Mackenzie
1st under 5 timeout, 19-7, W&M. Not playing much defense. Tribe is pressing full court, we are usually breaking it easily but then making silly mistakes, either quick shots that aren't our shots, or turnovers.
Cats in man-to-man, Tribe now mixing in their 3-2 zone.
End of 1st qtr, 25-12. Seven 1st qtr turnovers for us. Sarah and Mackenzie each with 4 pts. Mackenzie also has 6 rebs. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

2nd qtr, 4:21 left, 36-17.
Halftime, 43-24. Tribe is very good at playing up-tempo.
Mackenzie is leading the way with 8 pts and 9 rebs. Justine has 7 pts, Sarah with 4, Saadia with 3. Cats are plus 2 on the boards, which is pretty good considering our shooting percentage. Of course, a lot of those misses are ill-conceived putbacks when maybe we should be resetting the offense. On most possessions, we're doing a nice job of ball movement against their zone and getting some good looks. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

3rd qtr, 5:46, 48-30. Saadia and Ally get the 2nd half start, Ally with 4 quick points on mid-range jumpers plus a couple of FTs. Mackenzie has a double-double now.
End of 3rd qtr, 54-37, with opportunities to have gotten closer. Justine has 9 now. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

4th qtr, 6:46, 57-39. Cats outworking the Tribe now.
Less than 5 minutes, 60-47. Justine in double figures now.
3:43, 65-51. Still workin' hard.
1:42, 71-53, Tribe emptying the bench.
** Final, 73-55. Was actually more impressed with W&M than with Princeton.
Monster game for Mackenzie, 19 pts, 13 rebs, 2 stls and 2 asts. Justine had 16 pts, 4 stls and 2 asts.
Alana with her first points as a Wildcat, converting a pair of FTs at the end. She's now tied with Kelly as the "best" FT shooter on the team, as both are 2 for 2.
Sarah was 2-2 from the line tonight, and is now 28-30 for the season. My goodness. Cats were 15-18 from the line for the game. Plus 1 on the boards, too, so there's that. Way too many turnovers tonight.
Mercer is next, another very good team. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

Thanks, Chantilly. Isn't Mercer the Southern favorite? _________________ "McKillop is a gentleman. He could have played 'name that score' if he so desired."---St Joe's fan |

W&M won at our A10 rival Richmond last night, 78-64. The Tribe finally pulled away at the beginning of the 4th quarter after trailing by as much as 10 early in the game.
This result put W&M in Massey's top 100, which aligns with what I thought I saw on Sunday. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |
