Something to keep an eye on the next two months is kids backing out of letters of intent. Clifton Moore is a 6'10" power forward (something we're clearly interested in) who asked for his release from Indiana today, held offers from Ivy League schools and Northwestern (hey we have something similar to those schools). We never had any reported interest in him before though.

My new favorite De'Mon Brooks quote, through translator into German, back through google translator into English:
Quote: | I have only run the play. Nate did a great passport. Kyan has put a great block for me. Then they slept. Then the ball of Nate flew, I caught him and luckily had enough time to get rid of the litter. Our coach has recorded us a great play. (De'Mon Brooks) |

Several mentions of "threesomes" during the game sounds intriguing, also. |

Good news: the #1 recruit in the nation just decommitted. And he's a big man. |

Anyone have a view on Reuter? Seems like we're positioned well given head coaching volatility at some of interested programs, coupled with our strength of schedule and academics.
What type of player is he? |

4 star coming out of high school, listed as a 6'8 240-250lb center. "Reuter is a wide-bodied power player on the block who combines both a physical bruising style with high level passing ability. He rebounds the ball in traffic, provides a physical post defender, and a high I.Q. offensive player." |

One more report:"The first thing that strikes you about him is his willingness to mix it up underneath the basket. A classic wide bodied big man, Reuter loves contact. He is one of those rare players who is actually better after he is fouled and at the college level will be living at the free throw line making 3 point plays the hard way.
Jarred takes no prisoners in the paint. He is great at finishing down low after getting fouled underneath. Reuter is also a great interior passer and has a soft touch out to 15 feet." |

UVa is my "other" team.
6-7, 243. Not a rim protector or shot blocker, but a sturdy, solid defender. And he played for Tony Bennett, so he will work on D and move his feet.
Offensively, a physical, back-to-the-basket post player. Go-to shot was a right-handed jump hook, and he would use his body to create space against taller players. He would be a serious handful for A10 post defenders.
ACC teams usually didn't double him down low, and he shot 58% from the floor as a result. Rarely shot from outside for UVa, not even from mid-range. But he shot 76% from the line, so there's that.
Sad he is leaving UVa. Would love to see him here. _________________ ...coming out of the murky, dreary jungle of untutored mediocrity. |

Ha, I guess I was thinking a game just ended tonight. Hopefully, they were the road team. |
