We have two slots open for 2019. I would imagine we would like take a guard and a forward.

Looks like our first (public) 2019 offer of the summer is a power wing/undersized skilled 4 from Minnesota, David Roddy. Really thickly built kid, still deciding whether or not he wants to play basketball or football: https://www.prephoops.com/2017/09/recru ... dy-2019-2/

And here’s a segment from a local station on him: https://youtu.be/Xd_mFFJt24c
Seems like a great kid...would be an asset to DC. Wonder if he can play the 4 and run the option...?

This reminds me of an interview I saw with a local Los Angeleno after Wayne Gretzky was traded to the Kings. The man said, "I think he should make the club."

David Roddy looks like the type of athlete who could make any club he wanted to at DU. He will be in high demand for flickerball.

Roddy is the third Minnesota football star we have offered in the last three years. Brad Davison (now at Wisconsin) was a star quarterback at Apple Valley, and Michael Jones was a wide receiver. After Peyton's career not hard to see why we would like former football players.

How could I forget! Kellan should be doing wide receiver drills this summer to practice catching all those fullcourt passes 8-)

Roddy is listed at 6'5", 250 lbs. He plays quarterback at Breck high School. Stout lad.

So Mr. Roddy - do you want to play 4 at Davidson or, DE/OLB at a BigTen school. That is the question.

His body type reminds me of Grant Williams, now at U of TN. Plays 3/4.

We needed Jordan Barbam’s kicking on the football team when he was here.

Peyton was following in Snyder’s footsteps as a talented football player who chose basketball instead.

Love to see him in red & black.
And Breck is a great high school. Isn't a current member of the football team from Breck?

I read an article where they talked to his dad. It sounds like he will play football (his offer list is crazy) but still very interesting.

Unless I overlooked them, I found no one on the roster from the Gopher state.

obviously hopeful we gave him an offer with the view basketball was a real possibility.
I think 2019 will focus on 3-5 spots. we have a good guard stable really don't need to focus on until 2020. Playing time would be an issue for a frosh guard in 2019. unless theyre mature enough to realize if you sit and learn soph-senior year has a lot of upside.
