Tish Kimbrough obit.

She and Lawrence sat several rows down from me at men’s basketball games. They obviously attended hundreds more games than I did. As things gradually set in, I met them for the first time on numerous occasions. After I started meeting neighbors for lunch at Toast, I would see them there at least once a week for several years. They started recognizing me as someone they had seen before. They kept up going out to eat and attending games as long as they could. People who knew them better and longer than I say they were great folks. Obviously their Davidson roots were deep.

I had no clue that she was Frontis's daughter.

Lawrence is the son of Dr. John T. Kimbrough, chair of the Math Department when I was at Davidson.
"We were in the center ring the whole night,'' longtime Davidson coach Bob McKillop said. ''We were not on the ropes. We were not on the mat. We were in the center ring slugging away, and we just ran out of time.''

And Dr. Richie King was an in-law.
