BTW, Kuminga had 3 blocks and 2 steals along with 20 pts.
Steph's next championship team will include TJD and Kuminga in the starting lineup along with Pods and Moody among the first 7 players.

From Scott Van Pelt late last night: The Warriors are the only team in NBA history to follow a 50 point loss with a 30+ victory!
BTW, Scott is a Maryland graduate, a lifetime Terps basketball fan, and a big, big fan of Lefty. He remained in contact with Lefty until his death and unabashedly professed his love for the Lefthander. Attended Lefty's camps as a kid. Had Terps season tickets with his dad as a kid.

Did their father take Linus and Lucy to the games too?
Re: Steph update
An encouraging result following the Boston massacre. Steph led the team in scoring and rebounds, and tied the team lead in assists. Kuminga and Jackson-Davis were spectacular. I like Kerr. It has been a bit frustrating to see the slowness with which he has brought in Moody, Kuminga, and Jackson-Davis.
On the other hand, the long-term success and confidence of these young players may have been enhanced--not hindered--by their coach's care in bringing them along. I am reminded that coaches want to win, and most want to win now, so that they generally try to make short-term moves to help the team (and themselves). It is worth at least considering that Kerr may have been taking a longer view in handling the roster.

Kerr is coaching as if the NBA is still in the "small ball" era. He's coaching TJD who matured during a 4 year career at Indiana where he received excellent coaching. He is ready to play and shows it at every opportunity. The Warriors will face at least one 7 footer on every team they potentially face in the playoffs. They need TJD now. He is the best center on the roster.
I don't think Steph would agree with a longer view at age 36.

Re: Steph update
Dubs rotation went 11 deep. Asked if he would continue to play 11, Kerr said he’d cut the rotation to 10 because they need to ramp up Trace’s minutes so that he’s ready for the playoffs. All that haranguing by Cats Forever finally broke through.

Re: Steph update
Kerr seems serious. Looney didn’t play last night. I think that ends a pretty lengthy consecutive games streak.
Looney was a driving force in the last championship. He was a rebounding monster who more than held his own against bigs while also doing a decent job guarding smaller players if forced to switch. Deciding he’s not part of the playoff rotation is big. Maybe not as big as the gold shipment thru Mayberry, but still big.

In the same conservation Kerr indicated he also needed to get Looney ready for playoffs. Looney had played in 280 consecutive games. He has definitely slowed a step or two since the 2022 playoffs. Hip pain? He does not complain.

Re: Steph update
You are right about Looney; he doesn't complain. Still, he does often look to be in considerable pain. Like Iguadala before him, though, Kevon is a well-respected team leader whose best playing days may be behind him.

Steph's ankle MRI is "clean". Not diagnostic terminology, but I assume this means that he has at worst a grade 1 sprain with no significat ligament tears.

Re: Steph update
If it's a grade 1 sprain I'd guess 7-10 days. Pure guess without seeing the scan or knowing what his physical exam shows. But we do know that Steph is expert at recovering from ankle sprains.
He should send the scan to me for a 2nd opinion ...

Re: Steph update
The Warriors really need a center who can do this:
https://youtu.be/9jDegrDZ4og
Davis-Jackson: 26 minutes. 6 for 7 FGs for 13. 10 rbs and 5 assists. And THE DUNK. Praise from Kerr on his "development" as if the talent level wasn't present when Trayce arrived. What has developed is his playing time. Better late than never!
