Anybody going? I'm thinking about it.
DC69, we could do a fishing day and then catch the game.

Important game against our old SoCon rival. We’ll see if Asheville was a lucky fluke or do we have a contender.

Fond memories of the velvety oversize indoor track at ETSU.

Now, now WFTC. You’ve been a loyal fan longer than me, but we’ve both seen the program break hearts. Let’s see what happens Friday. Haha. I don’t see it as a big game and the Cats are for real.

I can still remember yelling at Tim Smith and him just zipping around the Belk Arena court.
Does that make me an old timer?

Harley "Skeeter" Swift was an ABA regular from ETSU.

Funny, I have no recollection of Hardees.
I remember the track meet used tennis balls to mark the position on the track when we could break for the rail in the 1000-yard "dash" (gasp). I had paranoid visions of a misstep and breaking my ankle.
I do recall seeing my father sitting in the stands the second day (he drove over the mountain from Blowing Rock) when I toed the line in the mile with the Goewey twins from App St. (Todd later coached at Bates for 20 years.)
I can't recall for the life of me what the ETSU mascot was. The Photochemists? The Optometrists?
(sorry, overcome by a citycat-like nostalgia tangent. Back to hoops....)

Is there a pregame event?
Re: Up next: at ETSU
The ETSU Bucs, short for Buccaneers because of all those swashbuckling pirates on the Nolichucky, play tonight against the favorite university of all Davidson football fans.

It's all coming back to me.
ETSU has bundled tickets for the Davidson game with UTC and Furple home games and marketing as a Rivalry Pack.
