Ford has attended more home games than a good portion of our season ticket holders in the last several years. It'll be great to see him in a Wildcat uniform.

Reminds me of how we got Carter Collins. And you see how that worked out.

I think you accidentally linked to some old Karl Hines game footage.Acorn wrote: ↑Sat Aug 15, 2020 5:23 pmWelcome, Chris Ford! Exciting news!

Nah, he has more range now than Hines had as a college senior. He reminds me more of Garrett Wilson's dad.

Re: Newest Kool Aid recruiting thread
Westover High. Kenny played in the NC High School All Star game the Summer after he graduated from high school in 1980. He was Davidson's first representative in that game since Rock Powers in '74. Kenny's high school teammate Rafael Hernandez played in the game in '82.
We had several players in the All Star game in the '50s and '60s. Semi Mintz, Bill Jarman, Terry Holland, Ronnie Stone, Mike Spann, and Rodney Knowles played. There may be others I overlooked or didn't recognize.
Our most recent participant was De'Mon Brooks in '10.
2 weird facts: Sonny Jurgensen played in the basketball game in '53; and Dave Odom was a coach in the '64 All Star game, which was the year after he graduated from Guilford.
Absent an injury, an unexpected bad year by North Meck, or an extended shutdown due to COVID, Chris Ford will play for the West in July 2021.

I forgot to mention another NC All Star game participant with a local connection. Bo Brickels returned to high school coaching in the late '80s and led Cobcord High School to prominence. He coached in the 1994 All Star game. NC State star Ishua Benjamin was Spider.

Ford has some Draymond in his game. Love it.

Really happy about this. He looks like a hard worker.

Seems like compare/contrast to Boots would be apt.
