Interesting. Weren't they pretty good just a year or two ago? They sure beat the crap out of my team back in 1974.catnhat wrote:Chapel Hill HS cancelled football because of low numbers. CHHS is a 3A school. That is the next to the largest classification in NC.
Maybe Fedora is right- there may be a plot to destroy America as we know it?

Chapel Hill HS is fielding a Junior Varsity team, but not a Varsity team. They have enough players to field a team, they just don't think they are very good. (They did mention that very few upper classmen turned out). Chapel Hill HS was 1-9 last year.catnhat wrote:Chapel Hill HS cancelled football because of low numbers. CHHS is a 3A school. Bob in the huddle during timeout: "Don't listen to BDL!"
Matt: "Coach, that's BDF."
Bob: "What?! There's two of them!?"

Carter went to East Chapel Hill High. It is a newer high school in Chapel Hill. There's a Carrboro High School, too, in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro system.
I saw an article which said football players would be allowed to transfer to East Chapel Hill High, which has a varsity football team this season after sitting out last season.

I went to an East Chapel Hill game the year Butch Davis was cut loose from UNC. He was sitting in the stands with a headset, acting as a consultant for the defensive coordinatorcitycat wrote:Carter went to East Chapel Hill High. It is a newer high school in Chapel Hill.
