He’s been committed to Pitt...BDL wrote:Recently, we offered in may 2017CatsUpNorth wrote:We offered him a scholarshipBDL wrote:I sadly haven't seen anything connecting us and him.
I’m not saying we will get him or even pursue anybody with the open spot. But as far as kids we have existing relationships with who have decommitted, he fits the bill.

Richmond offered as well, of course, and they don't need to parachute anyone in. They have an agent on the inside who doesn't have contact restrictions.citycat wrote:We should ponder this for several nanoseconds before going after Golden frere.
The team plane could fly over Sharpsburg and we could parachute an assistant coach onto his campus to demonstrate our interest in Bryce.
Bryce and Grant are brothers by the way. Do with this what you please.citycat wrote:We should ponder this for several nanoseconds before going after Golden frere.

I don't have a brother, but I'm guessing you either want to play with your brother or you don't. The first time he got to choose, he said, "no thank you."BDL wrote:Bryce and Grant are brothers by the way. On another note, I can't figure out how to post the screen cap of it, but the Richmond board has a great reaction to our recruitment of Luka.

Bob in the huddle during timeout: "Don't listen to BDL!"
Matt: "Coach, that's BDF."
Bob: "What?! There's two of them!?"

Pitt fans' comments to the tweet sound world-weary. The one that made me smile: "Someone should just take this program out back and put it down."CatsUpNorth wrote:Unsure if we want to use the last scholarship spot on a 2018 kid, but power forward Bryce Golden, brother of Richmond's Grant, asked for his release from Pitt. We offered Bryce this past summer.

“Yeah, well, you know, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.”

Jason is their Director of Basketball Operations. That doesn't sound impressive, but if you go to Pitt's basketball website and click on "Coaches", he's the top person listed.
Maybe he could complete one of those conditional release forms and write something like, "Bryce Golden is released to Davidson and every program in the 48 contiguous states that does not have vowels in its name."
That narrows it down to Hawaii and us.

For some of the same reasons he may not want to play with his brother, he may not want to regularly play against him. Love to have Bryce, though.BDF wrote:I don't have a brother, but I'm guessing you either want to play with your brother or you don't.
