Be careful with overly optimistic predictions until after the spring game. Many teams struggle greatly the first year of trying to implement the triple option. It all depends on whether we have the talent capable to run the system.

On the positive side I always thought Coach Nichols had athletes. I just don't think they were motivated or implemented properly. Hopefully Coach Abell gets the kids to buy in quickly and maybe a few players come back to the team to increase the depth.

Go Cats.

Think you are gonna be pleasantly surprised with the "new Cats"
Many good athletes return and the recruiting class has some REAL difference makers - including 2 (QB & DB) that have committed but aren't listed yet among the 27 signees on our website. Total # of signees is now 32 with several more hopefully to come.
Stay tuned .......

It appears that somehow SanteCat's computer automatically reposted his preseason comments from the last 2 years again this year. How does it know to do that....... Very Happy

Answer to Wildcatfan's query:

Because my computer is smarter than its owner. Also because it has a "half full" rather than "half empty" outlook. How 'bout you, Wildcatfan?
Maybe you should apply for a position in the old athletics department? Plenty with that attitude. That will change also.

Optimism should be the word for next year! I have already have been to a couple morning runs and the vibe among the players and coaches has made a 180. They are having fun again and it is unfortunate that we did not make the change earlier. I expect a much different season next year and a higher win total that will be directly attributable to the new staff and attitude. Go Cats!

On the topic of 2018 schedule, has anyone seen it or pieced it together?
Any update on new AD?
Any update on Safeties coach?
Who agrees the Cats get at least 6 wins this year? I do 💪💪🏿

Wildforthecats has a bet that the Wildcats will win six or more games next year. I hope he wins.

I'll have what bigmouth and wftc are drinking. Time for football to have a little of the koolaid that the roundballers have so freely partaken of over the years, and that the hardballers earned last year.

The college website lists Mark Hogan as the safeties coach. We don't have a cornerbacks coach.
