Luka is now 6'11 according to Eurospects.com (touted as the #1 Source for European Prospects and an NCAA Approved Scouting Service) writer Bronek Wawrzynczuk.
"6'11 Austrian Luka Brajkovic showing nice long term potential. Mobile, covers enough ground to alter shots & passes. Body & skills improving"

I'm reminded of the short conversation I had with David Cz. One thing he said was, "But I'm [whatever height he said] in shoes."
We've had players whose heights seemed to be augmented by their hair styles.
And then a few years back we had several players all listed at 5'11" who were of different heights. I think Clay was our shortest 5'11" player.

Heights in the NBA are often fudged to make them look taller but technically are supposed to be the player's height in shoes. Interestingly, Kevin Durant has made sure to never be listed at 7 feet even though by all accounts he is that tall.stevelee wrote:I'm reminded of the short conversation I had with David Cz. As for Luka, he was listed as 6'7" by his national team this summer, and I can't see the 6'11" height mentioned above (that writer mentioned called him 6'10" this summer but heights by recruiting people are often inflated), and he looks about ~6'8"-6'9" to me. His height doesn't matter though, since he plays big and has a huge wingspan, and he would be a terrific addition to our program as a traditional big man.

Article on 2020 target Jackson Threadgill. http://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports ... 92876.html
Also, with most schools announcing which 2018 prospects have signed, odd that we have yet to announce anything, especially since we know at least two of them (MJ and NBY) have officially signed already.

When does the school tell students whether or not they've been accepted? My guess is that the announcements will come after that date.

Odd? Last year’s press release came on December 15.CatsUpNorth wrote:Article on 2020 target Jackson Threadgill. http://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports ... 92876.html

Ah, well, not odd for us I guess. But as someone who follows recruiting way too closely, coaches are shouting out all their 2018 prospects, I was just wondering "where is the MJ love?"Waitress wrote:Odd? December 15 matches with the Early Decision 1 date, so it would be very Davidson and make a lot of sense they would wait until after each kid officially makes it through admissions. Was not complaining, I was just inquiring.

No, the later announcement has always been peculiar to men's basketball. The women's team's signings have already been announced, which is typical for them. I think it is more about men' basketball than anything ED related. Glass half full--we are simply waiting on Luka's decision so class can be announced together.
