Agree. Libraries deal with Fair Use questions regularly. You can transform the material and largely be spared scrutiny.collegecoach8502 wrote:You can essentially provide the link to the story, but can't cut/paste the story.
You could try to argue our purposes here are scholarly.
I suspect at the least, quoting "substantial portions" may violate terms of service.

fun read: http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basket ... p-25-teams
Note:
20. Northwestern Wildcats
Chris Collins clearly has the Wildcats on the upswing, after leading them to the NCAA tournament last season. It is carrying over to the recruiting trail, as they just landed ESPN 100 Pete Nance (No. 68) after beating out Michigan and Ohio State. Nance was the second 2018 commitment for Northwestern, joining point guard Jordan Lathon. That should help ease the burden of having to replace Bryant McIntosh and Scottie Lindsey after next season, along with big man Gavin Skelly. The Wildcats are still eyeing more perimeter punch as well as frontcourt depth, with Dosunmu, Dwayne Cohill (No. 93), Miller Kopp and Riley Battin on the board.

I haven't seen any reports of Davidson interest, but relatively local high-academic prospect Aaron Nesmith reportedly offered by USC:

Looks like we're still in the hunt, I was worried that he hadn't mentioned us for awhile. He still might be persuaded to play in a power 5 conference, but the ability to play near home, our academics and his connection to Brendan Winters still give me hope.@DavidsonMBBRecr wrote:[Hunter Tyson] Lists Davidson along with Michigan, Clemson, Tennessee and Providence as his top schools at the moment

Just saw this, where he does not mention us, and lists Clemson, Butler and Michigan as the schools that stands out, so who knows: http://www.hoopseen.com/news/player/201 ... nter-tysonCatsUpNorth wrote:https://twitter.com/DavidsonMBBRecr/sta ... 7078558720Looks like we're still in the hunt, I was worried that he hadn't mentioned us for awhile. There is also this article from the other day but there is a paywall, for anyone who may have a subscription to the Enquirer Journal: http://www.enquirerjournal.com/sports/h ... 5b119.html
We always wonder what impact our little board has on recruiting.
So a kid logs on to our board to read what we've said about him and finds a multi-page discussion of copyright law. I like to think that with the type of kids we recruit, that would be considered a plus.

Bob in the huddle during timeout: "Don't listen to BDL!"
Matt: "Coach, that's BDF."
Bob: "What?! There's two of them!?"

I know some of you hate updates on recruits with no known Davidson connections, but Nesmith has now been offered by Texas A&M, UMass, Minnesota, Georgia Tech, Florida, Cincinnati, and Oklahoma State as well.Acorn wrote:Va Tech tooAcorn wrote:I haven't seen any reports of Davidson interest, but relatively local high-academic prospect Aaron Nesmith reportedly offered by USC:

If a recruit logs onto a message board seeking influence on a college decision, or is in any slight way impacted by what other people that they don't know say, they are not really someone you want with the ball in their hands at crunch time...BDF wrote:We always wonder what impact our little board has on recruiting.

Another article where Hunter Tyson mentions us as one of the schools recruiting him the hardest, along with Butler, Michigan, Clemson and Tennesee: https://georgiagems.wordpress.com/2017/ ... ter-tyson/
Still think we are an underdog, but if this is the list right now, we're currently the only school in North Carolina among them.
Otherwise, looks really quiet out there on the recruiting front, at least with public info. I'm sure the staff has been putting in work. Also of note, other than an offer last summer to DJ Burns, I don't think we have any class of 2019 offers out yet, whereas last year by this time we had offers out to Battin, Tyson, Cormac Ryan, and others, I believe.

Northfiled Mt Hermon prospect
Saw this article on a 6'9" good shooting big man from NMH. No mention of Davidson but just seems like a good fit for our team.
