I guess they recruited over him, otherwise not sure why someone who averaged 24 minutes per game with 6 points and 6 boards would leave. There hasn't been a coaching change.
He wants to trade his red and white for red and black.

I believe that MJ was the 3rd or 4th player to transfer after this past season, which was a relatively good season for NE. Apparently, this is the fallout from a new coach trying to reshape a program.

I think they wanted to convert him to a center and play exclusively inside. My understanding is that he believes his game is more of an inside-out game and, accordingly, believes his skills will be used better elsewhere. I suspect (and hope) he saw how Davidson used Aldridge (and Cohen before him) and saw himself.

This. In quotes coming into the year, he kept saying how excited he was that they recruited a natural center so he could step outside and expand his game, saying that is where he is more comfortable. Wanted to expand his game. Hopefully he recognizes that we are a great place for skilled bigs.
What I love about his game is that while he may be more comfortable outside, the kid loves to bang inside and isn't overmatched by size at all.

They have continued to amaze me in the ability to recruit at a high level and continue to have an atmosphere that every player genuinely loves.
Yes.
Lots of TK, Thomas, JRich, DeMon types and we play lots of games in March.
I think the Porter-Gaud guys could fit this mold. More and more offers rolling in for Aaron Nesmith and Jake Lanford. Both in the top five in SC rankings. Lanford, especially, looks like a good fit given the front court players who will be graduating. Sander-esque.

Looks good. Here he is against a bigger defense. Excellent feet.

It didn't go very well....
People in Baker got confused and thought he was there to interview for the women's job.

If he was, he didn't take it. But Gayle Coats Fulks did.

Bob in the huddle during timeout: "Don't listen to BDL!"
Matt: "Coach, that's BDF."
Bob: "What?! There's two of them!?"

I want some early 2018 signings. SF, PF, C priorities; maybe a swing guard. 6 spots, let's get to work!
Hope to see a Davidson mention on Feherty with Steph

I doubt we will sign 6 players for 2018-2019.
