Top 2016 targets (along with JAG) Malachi Flynn and Justinian
Jessup are (like JAG) having strong freshmen seasons for Washington State and Boise State respectively. Says something about the coaches' talent scouting, especially for guards. Another reason to get excited that they signed three of their top 2017 guard prospects in Collins, Frampton, and Grady.

I am in no way shape or form giving up on our current roster and think we have the talent to make a run, but our struggles this year and the talent we are losing in the next two years exhibit how important the 2018 recruiting class will be. While KiShawn, Dusan and JAG have shown signs and we have a tremendously exciting collection of guards for 2017, our roster will still be pretty bare. While there hasn't been too much action in this thread recently, the next few months putting together our 2018 class and filling our last 2017 spot will be crucial to the future of our program.
I am personally very excited to see what talented players want the challenge and honor of putting on a Davidson uniform.

I think having 3 athletic guards next year will help- as they are bigger and their range should give offense more versatility. I think this year you've learned that : 1) defenses know jack and key in him knowing rusty isn't much of a scoring threat and JAG is young/inconsistent. 2) outside of Peyton our bigs are either young (dusan); lacking reps (margarity two years since competitive minutes); and not much of scoring threat from 8-12 ft (I love Nate so much that I would pay for him to get summer lessons in developing that shot consistently jk).
If our recruits come in ready to play I think we'll be dangerous- guys will have experience and reps upfront.
We do need to continue to push for best possible athletes we can; this league isn't getting easier. Good recruiting class should help attract more players like them

Recruiting Peyton was a major coup and seen as a result of going to the A10. Recruiting T$ was an afterthought resulting from another kid not getting in. Neither one is replaceable. You never know what is in store. The current team is sorely missing Sullivan, who was a transfer.
But I'm with Kevin if his implication is that we enjoy the team we have now rather than thinking too much ahead.
