Started the season yesterday with a 10-19 loss at a ranked Clemson team.

First Lacrosse Game on Field 76: Join us!
The new Davidson College Stadium opens Wednesday, March 20, when the lacrosse team takes on VCU at 6:30 p.m. Come cheer on the Wildcats and be one of the first to fill the stands in our brand new state-of-the-art stadium at the very first game played on Field 76. Field 76 is named in honor of Dave Fagg ’58, who wore the #76 jersey during his time on the Davidson football team. (Read more about the gift and Fagg’s impact on Davidson here.) The naming was made possible by a $5 million gift from Peter Andrews ’59. Davidson will officially dedicate the new facility April 20, the same day as a 1 p.m. lacrosse game and 4:30 p.m. spring football game.

For your viewing pleasure tonight, you could watch a replay of yesterday's baseball sins or you could watch the lacrosse team hosting Coastal. I'll watch lacrosse. If I were in NC today, I'd be there in person. Fun team. 6:30.

The lacrosse team appeared at the basketball game last night and lobbed t-shirts. One of the shirts landed in my lap.

That was the third shirt to land in my lap this season. The second one was tipped by a kid trying to catch it, and then it landed on me. I passed it down to the kid.

We beat Coastal 8-13 in 2022 and then 13-8 last year. They appear relieved that Amanda Monahan graduated. We scored first, Coastal got the next 6, we then took it to 6-4, we traded goals for 7-5. We scored a buzzer-beater that survived an official review to make it 7-6 for Coastal at the half.

Sam Goldfarb is solo in the booth. His knowledge and preparation are exceptional. I assume he played lacrosse. He is superb at calling it.

7-7, now 7-8. We've responded to having one of our better defenders getting two yellows and getting sent off early. And we pulled our keeper and inserted a freshman early. After trailing 6-1, this is some fantastic lacrosse.

Now leading 7-9, timeout, just over 10 minutes left in the 3rd.
