It was a surprisingly poor start for VCU. They were picked 3rd in the A10 preseason poll. We were picked 15th.

After 6 games, they had been outscored 16-3 and were 0-6. Then they beat UNCW 3-0 and then Davidson.

I don’t mind losing to VCU 1-0 in women’s soccer most years. They should be consistently near the top of the A10.

We should play Wake Forest in women's soccer annually. They are close and very good.

They have beaten Stanford and Virginia this season. They had a big crowd for the Stanford match.

Losing to a good non-conference opponent won't hurt our chances of going to the NCAA Tournament. We'll need to win the A10 Tournament.

If we beat them, they won't play us again, according to Cobb.
