MSOC @ High Point U
MSOC @ High Point U
Davidson plays them at HPU tomorrow evening.
They won the Big South's automatic bid last year and lost to UNCC 1-0 in the NCAA Tournament last year.
A win would be very nice for the team psyche and our RIL.

ESPN+ has the game. I pledge it to be true.

Both schools even have active links to the television coverage. Davidson's is in the Watch link. HPU's is found when you click the icon that looks like a TV. Good job by both schools.

I watched this on mute while I listened to Matt. 1-1 draw. Last year's match ended 2-2. High Point is loaded with internationals (4 from Ghana and 9 overall), and they are the overwhelming favorite to win their weak conference. They controlled play for most of the match but couldn't put it in the net.
"We were in the center ring the whole night,'' longtime Davidson coach Bob McKillop said. ''We were not on the ropes. We were not on the mat. We were in the center ring slugging away, and we just ran out of time.''

Davidson's goalie is Jack Burden.
If there are any English majors on opposing teams, he'll hear some "All the King's Men" jokes.
I saw the movie that was based on the book one weekend I was in 10th grade and wrote a book report about later in English.
I was unaware Broderick Crawford had been in anything other than Highway Patrol.

High Point dominated the first half, but it was 0-0 at half. High Point's goal was off a great header, but Davidson countered rather quickly to tie the match at 1-1. There were some solid opportunities for both teams down the stretch but ended in a draw.DC69Wildcat wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 9:27 pmI watched this on mute while I listened to Matt. 1-1 draw. Solid match for Davidson against a good High Point team and they looked much better last night.
Small correction....last year was a no contest as they didn't have a chance to take the field for the second half due to heavy rains. We lost the year before.
Hoping we can get the Camels on Monday. 3 or 4 players sidelined against HPU but I don't think they are serious injuries.
