Slow start. Top of the first, walk, walk, double, groundout RBI for a quick 2-0. Then we got 'em.
We went mildly, 1,2,3, including 2 strikeouts,

Tied after 2. Putnam homered. Maybe. Announcer said he did. Scoreboard changed. All the camera showed was the pitcher, the catcher, and some fans. That made it 2-1. Wilhoit doubled and came in on Jed Howard's hit. Howard tried to stretch a single and was out at 2nd. But Wilhoit scored.

Howard singled in the 4th with 2 out, 2 on. Home Cats lead 2-3. Rice walks on 4 straight. Calero up, pitching change.

Nice debut for Jed Howard. Bottom 5, loaded em with no outs. Scored 1. Then Howard came up with bases loaded, 2 out. Hit it to the same spot as the first two. 3-3, 4 RBI. We're up 2-6 after 5.

Wilhoit hit a 3-run line drive just over the wall in left. 2-9, bottom 7. Jed Howard 4-4 to the exact same location. This one had a little more air under it. A better fielder probably catches it, but it got through him for a double. Pitching change.

Jake Wilhoit got the count to 3-2 after 10 pitches, then hit a screaming line drive over the left field fence on pitch #11. Two runners on, now 9-2 Wildcats in the 7th with Cats still batting. Freshman Jed Howard just got his 4th hit.

Still 2-9, top 8. Wilson Perkins went 4 2/3. It's been Brycen Champey since.

Now 3-9, 1 on, none out. Relievers getting ready.

Leaking oil. 6-9, no outs. Runners at 1st and 2nd. We tried Katz at 3-9. Time for someone else.

Villanova with 4 runs on 4 walks, 2 wild pitches , and 2 singles. Katz pitched to 3 batters, threw 13 pitches, only 4 of which were over the plate, and one of those was hit for a 2-run single. Still no outs, 2 runners on.

And Fix hits his first batter. Bases loaded, no outs. Geez.
