Hopefully a return to form tonight. Hopefully the best 3-point shooter in the country won't ride the bench most of the night.

Got schooled in the first quarter. Down 23-12. Not stopping Mason at all on defense - they basically just drive to the basket and score or drive and kick. No defensive adjustments yet.

Double Davidson Funk (#49 ?) this week for DC hoops.
Re: Up next: at George Mason
Can Mason miss? Apparently not.
Re: Up next: at George Mason
Turned it off after we went down 20, incredibly disappointing half along with what looked like a bad injury for sylvie. I dont know what happened over the long break or getting into conference play, but its been a bad 2.5 games here (looking like 3). VCU blew us out for 75% of the game, george mason is running us out of the gym, and lasalle kept it far closer, dominating the game for stretches, than should have been the case.

Easy answer to above: We've been scouted. We don't defend small guards well in our aggressive man defense, we never ever adjust on defense, and we have a very short bench (against good A-10 teams). So, take us off the dribble, drive and kick, make the extra pass, get us in foul trouble so we have to go to our bench.Turned it off after we went down 20, incredibly disappointing half along with what looked like a bad injury for sylvie. That being said, Mason is white-hot and playing great.
I really don't know why we didn't use another time-out to settle things down and why we didn't start changing defenses just to change Mason's rhythm.
I still have yet to see us run a set to help get Mallorie open. Remember those inbounds plays we ran for Cohen and Anderer? Those screens our bigs set for Steph? Double screens on the wing to get an easy 3?

Team playing like they rode a bus half the night.
On the way to a restaurant we encounter a woman in a Davidson hoodie. It was Sylvie’s mom. They ate at the same restaurant and now sit on the row behind us.

Down 28 going into the 4th. Non-competitive.

Hurt her knee.
Re: Up next: at George Mason
I did not expect a win tonight. I did expect that we'd compete

WBB + MBB = 4 straight conference losses. Tough stretch for Davidson basketball. Go Cats!
"We were in the center ring the whole night,'' longtime Davidson coach Bob McKillop said. ''We were not on the ropes. We were not on the mat. We were in the center ring slugging away, and we just ran out of time.''
