Watching Opponents on TV

South Carolina defeated North Carolina in Carmichael 65-58 on ESPN. The game was closer than the final score.

SC hangs around the Triangle and plays at Duke Sunday on ABC at 1:00 PM.

The announcers, Beth Mowins and Debbie Antonelli, said it was great to have teams get on a bus and play nonconference opponents home and home. That's a great idea. Duke, UNC, and USC can come to Davidson and we'll return the favor.

Carmichael was sold out. The announcers mentioned Davidson's close loss to UNC there.

The A10 was 1-3 tonight. Won our non-D1, lost the real games.

Massey currently has the A10 as the 8th ranked conference in NCAA D1 WBB. Same for MBB.
"We were in the center ring the whole night,'' longtime Davidson coach Bob McKillop said. ''We were not on the ropes. We were not on the mat. We were in the center ring slugging away, and we just ran out of time.''
