Starting a thread for comments. The Iowa-SC game was a classic. The LSU-Va. Tech game was pretty darn good, too.

Caitlin Clarke is The Truth. Her (seemingly) off-balance threes from well beyond the arc were are mysterious as her ability to drive past and score on quicker defenders. Instant fan, here. Hate that the U of S. Carolina ladies lost, but Iowa (and Clarke) earned that win.

When you play poorly, you lose. I have been saying all season that the Gamecock women were not a good-shooting team, a deficiency that was covered up by strong defense and superior rebounding. That enabled them to win a couple games where they couldn't throw it in the ocean. But it wasn't enough against a talent like Clark when she brought her A-game. Nevertheless, when you outrebound your opponent by 24 and take twenty more shots than they do, the game should not be close. But the Gamecocks, despite taking those extra 20 shots, only made two more, which was overcome by Iowa's threes and 14/14 FT shooting.

Shooting by Iowa starters not named Clark: 10/20. Shooting by USC starters not named Cooke: 3/24.

Raven Johnson, the backup PG who was so rudely dismissed by Clark in the viral video, was actually 3/6 on 3-pointers. She should have shot more.

Total team effort by LSU. Every part of their game was working, including a very impressive mid-range game.

Angel Reese is a great player. It's a shame she chose to show so little class at the end of the game.

The way LSU shot today, I don't think the Cocks could have beaten them either.

That being said, there is no way that Caitlin Clark was not the tournament MOP.

Very fun game to watch yesterday. The offensive attack was impressive. Wow, what a first half of shooting. LSU 75% from 3 and Iowa 54% from 3.

That being said it was probably one of the worst reffed games. Over the back was rampant. The poor Iowa women were being used as step ladders and many times on both sides, shooters were clobbered and no call were made. The banging by the posts were absurd.

The technical was crap.

Overall more fun than many of the mens game.
