Up Next: Selection Sunday
I know there isn't a WNIT selection show but hoping to hear our name called.
I have us just on the outside of the field of 64 for the WNIT. The tournament has opened up to allow teams with sub .500 records this season.
One projection has us as the last team in the field.
I feel certain that we'd make the WBI field if the WNIT doesn't come knocking.

How? Massey has us at 143. We were the 9 seed in the conference tournament. Even if the WNIT has expanded to 64 teams, we have to be way outside the bubble. I heard that our players think they are on the bubble. I'm missing something.

Re: Up Next: Selection Sunday
Our RPI is 105
Our NET is 127
There are many teams above us who are sub .500 and may or may not accept bids.
We may have finished as the #9 seed but our ranking metrics are higher than 9th.
We should get 2 in the NCAA field (UMass & Dayton)
Our A10 auto bid will be URI and I think that VCU and Fordham are both locks.
I personally think we'll be in the WBI but we are certainly on the bubble for the WNIT.

I love the A10's odd's of getting 5 teams into one of the two real tournaments. 5 seems like a real reach. But like you say, some teams may pass. I'd love for our team to make the postseason. Play 'til they force you to stop.

No WNIT for Wildcats.
NCAA bids for UMass & Dayton
WNIT bids for URI, Fordham & VCU
Hopefully news on WBI comes soon.
