Good second quarter. 25-35 at half. Rosie looks quick and strong. 9 for Rosie, 8 for Issy, 7 for Elle, 6 for Chloe, 3 for Cam, 2 for Cass. Team is 7-13 on 3s, winning rebounds-3-19, 11 turnovers but some of that is refs being confused by quick first steps.

I discovered this game on CBSSN. UMass has discovered they can drive on us and if they don't, the refs will call a foul. It's 45-40.

The woman commentator's mike went out.

Sutphin picked up her 3rd foul with about 5 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.

They cut us to 3 points twice, we extended to 44-57. 50-57 after 3.

Sutphin has 4 fouls. We were up 57-44, but gave up 6 at the end of the 3rd quarter. 57-50.

We need instruction on committing hard fouls. We give up too many layups where we bump the shooter and a 3 point play results. The shooter isn't dunking the ball, she's often releasing it from hip level.

Awful call for Sutphin's 5th. 56-61 with 6:48 left. Peyton makes it 56-63. Awful call on Issy's 4th foul at 6:11. 58-63. Cass misses a layup. Breen makes it 60-63. They foul Konstans at 5:10. Make, make. 60-65. Hold on to it, Cats.

The badness of the call on Sutphin cannot be underemphasized.

Peyton replaced her and has hit a layup and drawn a foul blocking out for a rebound.

We played great without Elle and Peyton, who fell and seemed to be hurt. We're up 74-67 with 12.6 left and the ball.

The announcers keep apologizing to fans who are missing the start of Big East game. They should enjoy this one.

76-67. That's a great win. UMass was 21-5.

There was no quit in our team and the bad calls stopped as we showed we could go toe to toe with them.

We played the final 6:42 without Elle. That should build our confidence.

I got home from lunch in time to watch the final five game minutes (much longer in clock time, of course). Good way to close.
