I spoke to the pep band afterward to thank them for playing at a women’s game. That may become a new normal.

I learned something tonight. A former men’s player asked me about a rule, which struck me as a bit odd, but rules do change. He asked whether a free throw shooter can cross the line after getting the shot off, since one Columbia player had done that a couple times. He got out his phone and looked up the rule. The shooter may not move beyond the line before the ball hits the rim (or presumably doesn’t).
