Motion to welcome Zach with open arms, shower him with gratitude, root for him as hard as we'd root for any other Cat, and give him the benefit of the doubt when it comes to his spring semester academic performance.
Dude's a D2 All American. We should be counting our lucky stars that he opted to play his bonus year here, rather than getting a free masters degree somewhere else.

If Zach becomes US President someday we will brag for decades about his attendance at Davidson ... even though he enrolled for only one year.

Maybe. (In reference to a Davidson year helping his odds of getting into med school)
I'm glad he's a Wildcat. I look forward to learning who his teammates will be. We could be pretty good. I can guarantee that we won't fall many spots in the A10.

Maybe. There is some chance that what I wrote is true. But since I don't know anything about his academic background or his professional ambitions, it might not be at all relevant to him. But since our game seems to be jumping to conclusions based on conjectures, I thought I'd play along.

Should Zach become President after one year at Davidson, he should get a road sign next to campus, possibly replacing the existing one for racist WW.

I bet we'd brag about him even if he just became a US Senator or a cabinet secretary. Looking forward to seeing him play and what he brings to the team.
