Reports are that ISU Head Coach Schertz is taking the SLU vacancy. ISU beat writer reporting he turned down an offer from Louisville before accepting the A10 job.

Schertz doesn't only exclusively coac blue and white teams, but only teams with unique and cool mascots. Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters, Indiana State Sycamores, and now Saint Louis Billikens. There's a real pattern here!

All of the Indiana State starters are in the portal, inc. Robbie Avila (a.k.a. Cream Abdul Jabbar and Larry Nerd). If Saint Louis gets Avila and a couple of the other players, that's going to be trouble.

Didn't someone mention Avila's portal posting (Do Not Contact) seemed to indicate he was headed to St. Louis with his coach.

Cream Abdul has transferred to SLU.
He will be good for some home ticket sales.
