Isaac McKneely was Luke Frampton's high school teammate.

McKneely and Bobby Durkin would be excellent shooters with a good point guard to get them the ball.

Teams would have to stay with them, opening up the inside for the big man to go 1 on 1 against the other team's center.

In response to an above post, getting Foster was as big a net win as we could get in the portal.

Brizzi over Spadone could potentially be a large net win, but it's at worst an upgrade.

And Rikus v. Skogman. Are you kidding me?

I'm really sad about Schulte. He was earning good minutes and showing the potential to be a classic Davidson big. That size combined with that skill is hard to come by.

I think the biggest challenge for us in the portal is our system. I feel like Brizzi is just now starting to get it. It's a long learning curve.

Let’s just close the portal. It served a purpose but no longer is it needed.

One is reminded of Pandora's Box. At the very least. It would take a Marvel Universe sized hero to close the portal. Is there such a Hero out there in NCAA Land? Will the NCAA even exist long enough to tackle this problem?

With Clemson's recent announcement of legal probing into the control of the ACC over its member institutions, we are perhaps one step closer to those institutions creating their own centralized leadership organization (or multiple organizations). Eventually, of course, this reorganization will also succumb, as the schools "meet the new boss" and discover that she/he is the "same as the old boss."

I didn't see the level of offensive skill in Rikus to which others are referring.

My parents love to tell the story of when I was a toddler at an Easter egg hunt. I would stand and watch the other kids discover an egg, and then waddle over to look for my own egg in the same hiding place.

That’s how I see our participation in the transfer portal frenzy. We’re looking for guys in the same place as everyone else. I tend to think the value right now is to be found in HS guys.

Maybe we will next year start playing against fewer 25-year-olds.

He still has a year of eligibility left if we count everything since 2009 as NIL.

Grant Huffman is in the portal.

Not unexpected at all, but this one really, really stings. Clearly I was holding out lots and lots (and lots) of hope he just wanted to hang out at Davidson for a 5th year.

How soon we forget that Skogman was not in the starting 5 either last year and we were wondering if he was a fit. Rikus showed some skills against Dayton at home and IMO had potential to be a decent big man by his Jr/Sr years.
