Five minutes left in the half and Dayton has 15 points. Davidson-like.

Dayton now depends on the kindness of the committee. Their NET won't like a loss to Duquesne.

This is not optimal for the a10.

I should have been more excited about our win at Duquesne.

Virginia is looking bad against BC.

The Committee has to take 68.

Maybe Dayton and Virginia are trying to fall to 10 seeds and avoid the dreaded 9 vs 1 second round game.

Dayton needs a lot of chalk from everywhere else to get in now.

Virginia defeats BC in overtime.

That’s probably good for Dayton.

Dayton can’t be sent to Dayton for a play in game.

Dayton will still get in, but they'll be a 10 or 11 seed. Our tournament champ will get a 12 or 13. The A10 decline is real. We'll get 2 bids thanks to Dayton's excellent first 2/3 of the season.

Sum of the remaining four A10 seeds is 27.

Dayton is not going right now.
Their wins didn't pan out as well as they could have...

They beat LSU, a middle of the SEC team.
And SMU, middle of AAC.
St. Johns, middle of big east.
Cincy, bottom of big 12.

Dayton's Massey rating is 40 today. That gets them a 10 seed with no funny business going on, like the time New Mexico made the tournament when their AD was chairman of the selection committee and they had a decent year with no redeeming victories.

Dayton did beat NCAA tourney qualifier Longwood.

Richmond vs. Wake Forest would be a great first round NIT matchup.

It guarantees a formerly Baptist school gets to the 2nd round.

That's how far the A10 has dropped. Our tournament champ gets a 13 seed if it is VCU. Hawks, Dukes, or Bonnies would get a 13 or 14.

Somehow, Wake losing was Gaudio's fault.
