In Game: vs UMASS

I have been busy and also feeling a bit under the weather, so I ran out of time to do a thread-starter of any length. Instead, I will begin with a riddle:

A man walks into a criminal courtroom wearing a fez. Because there is a rule against wearing hats in the courtroom, the judge tells the bailiff to discreetly inform the man to remove his fez. The man refuses, citing a religious exemption under the First Amendment's freedom of expression protections. After a fairly lengthy discussion with the man, the judge decides the man isn't entitled to keep wearing the fez in court. Why?

[A hint: The fez is unadorned with any symbology so the judge decides it isn't a Shriner's fez.]

No idea about the Fez (though I don't think it has any religious meaning?). I am assuming that we are referring to the hat, and not the Fez referenced by Steely Dan?

A blocked shot by Bailey is a rare and beautiful miracle.
