If behind a paywall, injunction against NCAA. Prevents them from barring NIL to high schoolers. Judge basically said NCAA is going to lose.

Years ago I sat attended a fundraiser for my HS’s booster club. I sat at the same table as the parents of Doug Pickett. Doug had just been “discovered” and signed to a long term exclusive contract to model for Polo and Polo Fragrances. One perk his mother didn’t expect- they flew Doug to NYC to fit him for a tux for his senior prom. No rental tuxes for one of their models. And he got to keep the tux.
After 10-15 years or so Polo moved on from Doug, but as far as I know he’s still in the game.
Doug graduated from Asheboro the same year Brian Vickers graduated from neighboring Trinity HS. Gossip from the time said Doug made more money than Brian did until the Polo contracts ended.

Game, set, match. College sports, at least football and MBB, just became a fully professional endeavor with no going back. Now we will see how badly schools want to win a national championship. I'm betting Texas oil money will win out.The NCAA has lost the authority to enforce any rules on name, image and likeness compensation for student-athletes, for now and potentially for good.

I'm wondering if the NCAA will even be able to enforce scholarship limitations and eligibility rules. Why would schools need to give scholarships if they can just give piles of alumni cash?

Athletes then become employees of the school ? Does TItle IX then morph into EEOC regs ?

Do 'Men's' and 'Women's' teams disappear in that scenario?
