Starters:

Brizzi
Connor
Buckets
Reid
Skogman
Unless Bailey improves his shooting, I like Adam

Would be strange for Skogman to go through all the senior night activity to come back, no? It would be very exciting for next years group.
I would be surprised, but I believe Elle was celebrated on senior night for the womens team and decided after the fact to return for one more year.

She did, but she entered the portal a day or two later and visited other schools before deciding to return.

It is my impression that Grant and David don't plan on using their extra "COVID" year at Davidson. They may or may not intend to play elsewhere (I have no idea), but at this point, I don't think there is any plan to continue at Davidson.
It's really hard to do a fifth year when you've fulfilled requirements to graduate from a four year liberal arts school. It's not like they can go start their MBA.

Or just take somebody's offer for an easy graduate degree. Very tempting to follow Michael Jones' lead.

During his Zoom meeting with some football fans last night, Coach Abell mentioned 3 football players are graduating after 3 years.

A combination of AP credits and going to summer school makes that possible. Many students started going to summer during COVID and realized they could finish early and spend what they would have on their senior year on grad school or get a job a year earlier.

Over the last few years, we've lost several kids to Stanford. How many NCAA games did they play? How many NCAA games will Stanford's incoming freshmen play after they're in the ACC?

Harrison Ingram of UNC, originally Stanford, should be at Davidson. He should have been our #1 recruit of the last 10 years. Read his biography.

Better yet, read the article about him in today's Observer. Did we have a clue this kid existed and what his background was?

He has his own NIL deals, managed by his older brother.

Why wouldn’t you do this. The idea that I could have finished in 3 years and gotten my masters paid for…if the system will pay for it, geez, you aren’t making the nba so go do it…why not? I hate it for the game, but I think the Mike Jones of the world are the smartest ones out there to take advantage of the current system. An undergrad from Davidson and masters from Stanford for free for playing basketball. Awesome.

Why would you stay at Davidson for another year and get a double major?

Mike Jones already had a double major: math and economics, like Bryant Barr.

I’m amazed that anyone could do that at Davidson even while not playing basketball.

I got a Pre-Med degree and was very close to a double major in Psych, and I did intramural wrestling.

That’s certainly impressive, but not surprising in your case.

i was surprised by a message from a graduate committee at SMU that I had almost completed a third masters degree accidentally, but I wasn’t playing any sports, unless you count choral conducting as a sport (two of my part-time jobs).

When I was registering for the fall semester my senior year at Davidson, Dr. Ostwalt asked me whether I planned to graduate in December. I replied incredulously, “Why would I want to do that?”

Actually, it's not at all impressive. Intramural wrestling involved one or two 8-minute matches per year for 2 years. I didn't do any training, because I knew I was the only guy in my weight class with any high school wrestling experience. I walked out on the mat and crawled off 8 minutes later with the win. Intramural champion 1968 and 1969, with my name in the Davidsonian.

Bruce Elder got a graduate degree from Vandy, as well as his undergraduate degree, after transferring from DC. He had to redshirt his first year there, so it took 5 years total.

Supposedly he would have stayed if we had not been dropped from the SoCon. I’m sure others have more details than I.

Coach Hussey was being let go, too, and Hussey had recruited him to Davidson.

The decision to become an Independent rather than join the Big South was an odd decision when the Southern booted us. Chris Morris (Otter) had poisoned our relations with the Southern and the Colonial, but refused to push for us to land somewhere.

As soon as Terry Holland's future hiring was announced, negotiations began with the Big South.

Elder almost stayed according to Matt Doherty.
