Apologies if this has already been discussed at length. But is there an understanding here of who is completely out of eligibility (or more than likely moving on)? Seems like Kochera, Huffman, and Skogman are all 'Seniors' but are any in line to be taking an extra year of covid eligibility?

Feel like Coach has been making an emphasis recently of getting younger guys more game action together as a unit (Schulte, Ghedini, etc). Curious to see how this roster will be constructed potentially losing such integral pieces.

This is a really good question I and many others with whom I talk Davidson hoops have been wondering.

We currently have 13 guys on scholarship, and are adding two more (at least) in Coval and Joses.

From what I’ve heard Kochera is planning to return next year, so are we planning for Grant and Skog to use their last year of eligibility elsewhere? Expecting transfer(s) out? Maybe a player goes off scholarship? Who knows.

Anyway, we need to clear at least two roster spots for incoming guys. And it’s definitely not obvious how that is going to happen.

Is Spedone now on scholarship? Will the guy from PA be on scholarship his non-playing year? Is one of the new guys a preferred walk-on, as someone here conjectured?

We'll know more about current players on senior night and/or the banquet.

At the post game autograph session a few weeks ago, someone in front of me asked Connor a question along the lines of whether he was coming back next year/what year he was (I don’t recall the exact question, I was trying to corral my 4 year old) and Connor said “I’m a junior, so I have one more year.” Whether that year will be at Davidson or somewhere else remains to be seen.

Wow I guess I didn't realize at all that Grant and Skog still technically have eligibility. Would be a nice coup to get all the major contributors back and have that continuity. That along with some luck breaking our way that went against us this season, I'd be excited about our prospects next year.

It is my impression that Grant and David don't plan on using their extra "COVID" year at Davidson. They may or may not intend to play elsewhere (I have no idea), but at this point, I don't think there is any plan to continue at Davidson.

This year's players who exhaust their regular eligibility are the last cohort who can take a COVID year (there may be a few individual exceptions).

It was just with respect to Grant. Last page of the Fordham in game thread. I know that he will make the best decision for him, it simply feels like he and David just started playing at Davidson.

For what its worth, the senior night ad on the video board on Saturday had a picture of Grant, Skogman & Sosnick, no Conner.
