Don't believe everything you see in a box score.

Grant, who played with his usual tenacity and effectiveness, was credited with 0 turnovers.

On our first offensive possession of the 2d half he threw an ill-considered pass to Sean which was broken up. Since Sean is listed as having two turnovers, I can only surmise that the turnover was given to him. It was Grant's turnover all the way, never mind what the box score says.

2. This team never fails to play hard, if not always well. Loyola was a bummer. But credit to the character of this team and the work of our coaches for the unstinting effort that they give. When you have everyone giving their all, there is always hope.
And I love that about them.

I hope to see them win a home conference game.

The Duquesne announcers were much more positive about our team than are our fans represented here.
+1. The announcing crew was surprisingly even-handed in their commentary.
Agreed.

I missed the first 4 minutes. What happened to their 6'10" Serb, Mahorcic? The play-by-play says he started, subbed out after 3 minutes, and never came back in. Is he just a center jump specialist?

BTW, Duquesne is his 6th school in 6 years.
If he is a specialist, he may not be a very good one. He lost the tip to Reed. (He had one job...?)

This has been one of the surprises of the season - Reed has won a LOT of jump balls. He must get up fast. At the start of each game, I tell my wife "watch Reed win this jump ball." He hasn't won ALL of them but I bet he has won a healthy majority.
