Feels like there was a concerted effort yesterday to play more inside out and not do what we don't do well (Shoot threes).
On the other hand, it was our barrage of threes (Kochera > Brizzi > Kochera > Bailey 1) in a span of 2 1/2 minutes that broke the game open in the 2nd half. We went from +1 (43-42) to +10 (55-45) with those 4 daggahs, and the Rams never got closer than 10 after that.
Absoutley. But I think that stemmed from a larger focus of getting to the rim and and then leaving open shots after the defense collapsed, rather than trying to run action with the intent of getting movement threes. With our 3P talent we really need to play like the former not the latter.

After the Richmond loss, we're back down to #267. 32.10%

The defense is fine. We just don't shoot well.

31.647% after choking to UMass. That'll put us about 290th.

Barely dropped tonight. Went from 31.647 to 31.638%. We can finish the year in the top 300 pretty easily. #300 is shooting 31.26%

Getting perilously close to 300th. Now shooting 31.421% That should put us around 298th.

We finish the year at 31.375%. That's probably enough to finish better than 300th.

Poor shooting (especially from three) seemed to clearly be the biggest problem this season. I don’t agree with the complaints I’ve seen about athleticism. Davidson has had a lot more success with teams that had athletes who were not as big, fast, strong, or explosive as the guys on this year’s team.

IMO, lack of strength was a much bigger issue than lack of athleticism, if you can separate the two.

Still, we've never dunked less. Or had a worse +/- in dunking. Maybe our athleticism is like our shooting---it exists in the vacuum of practice but doesn't translate to games.

Gelopiù is the name of an Italian kitchen product. It is freezer bags. I hope ʼGelo gets his (and everbody else’s) shooting out of the freezer next year.
