Sure, if he'd wanted to be here.
Des was dissatisfied with his playing time when Grant and he were fighting for minutes. We signed Loughnane, Brizzi, and Durkin. Grant left to go to a place he could start and play 30+ minutes a game.

I went down to Columbia to see Kentucky v. USC.

Absolutely great atmosphere , but not a sellout (pretty close). I think, like many other bldgs, it's too big. (I've heard that they may come close to selling out the women, but I'm not sure). Maybe it was built before the Internet and certainly Smartphones were such a big thing and more people went to games. Wake Forest's arena is also way too big-it was built in the mid/late 80s.

Baylor just built a 7000 seat arena, 3000 seats smaller than the one it replaced. I bet it will get noisy in there. The court is named for a married couple; the deceased husband was the CEO (or something like that) of Oracle. The surviving spouse is now dating Bill Gates. Not for his looks.
Last night was a sellout of 18,000 for the men. Why would you make it smaller? When you consider that men's and women's basketball are their smallest customer when you consider they regularly sellout the arena for concerts, etc. The women have sold out three times this year and expected to sell out rest of season.

Here's my photo from last night.

I just noticed these posts. If you guys were paying attention to the baby race at halftime, the winner was my granddaughter Mila (AKA GameKitten), who smoked the field while crawling her way to victory.
Go, Mila! ("Gamekitten" that is beyond cute.)

Given that last year Des was starting and playing 30 minutes a game in a role different from Grant, this seems questionable.

I have no way to know why Des left, but I do wonder how his perception of himself at Davidson would have been different if he had been shooting 42% from 3 rather than 27%. Maybe a lot better and he’d have stayed.

Or maybe, as 77 has implied in the past, he still would have left, but for a P5 school rather than Loyola.

He's shooting worse on free throws and 2 pointers this year than last year.

We were told how great the 3 new guards were going to be. Who knew how bad our shooting was going to be this year?

High Point crapped out on their home court? Awesome. Big South championship is Longwood v UNCA. Go, Doggers.

UNCA is one win away from the Big Dance.

Maybe Raptorcat will go to the Championship and wear the Tam to bring good luck to the Bulldogs.

JMU has a comfortable 81-64 win over Marshall.

They get 11-cede Texas State in the semis. TSU upset Troy in shockingly easy fashion.

APp gets Arkansas State in the first game today

Go Dukes

Furman came from 12 down in the game of too much purple to win in OT. ETSU took out UNCG. Southern semis are Furman/Samford and the huge rivalry game of ETSU/Chattanooga.
