State and Wake had a shoving match during the 2nd half of their game tonight. Coach Keatts was ejected in the first half for arguing a no call.

State was up 6 or 8 with less than a minute to go and started fouling Wake when they crossed halfcourt so Wake couldn't shoot 3s.

State held on and won 83-76. The Wolfpack did not make a 3.

UNCC should hang on to this coach. Counter to their norm, they are getting better as the season advances. Beat Rice in OT today.

I saw that they spotted Rice a big lead out of the gate, maybe 23-4, and righted the ship to win.

And Clemson has finally begun their annual collapse. They were a 5 seed in the newest Bracketology. Then they ended Georgia Tech's long losing streak last night. They'll drop a lot in Bracketology this week and should fall off the bubble by mid-February.

Loyola now 11-6 overall 3-1 in conference play

Des Watson has 9 & 15 points in the last two games and 7 & 9 rebounds in wins against against Mass & St Joes.

No eye deer. With the extra Covid year he may have two. Or twelve. I can't tell and don't really care. Someone would be smart to take him even for a year.

Worked for the Bonnies with Charles Pride. URI couldn't offer him what he wanted in terms of NIL. Apparently the Bonnies could. He killed URI a few days ago.

Just finished watching Texas vs Baylor, a terrific back and forth battle finally tied at 73 with 5.2 seconds left in regulation. Texas in bound to their center close to mid-court who immediately tossed the ball backwards to the trailing guard who then drove the length of the court to make an unbelievably difficult lay up as the buzzer sounded. All joy for Texas immediately drained out of my body being reminded of our identical loss to St. Bonaventure not too long ago. Ouch
