Dang! That last shot came as close to going in as the JRich shot against Kansas.
Yup.. he was 60 feet away but straight away from the basket

Well that was easy.

Matt McK intentionally fouled twice in the last 7 seconds up 3. Bob McK did not believe in doing that.

I've said for years that this is the right play. Some on this board have argued vehemently with me on that. It IS ABSOLUTELY the right play, and I don't need analytics to tell me that. You don't give a team a chance to tie the game with a three point shot.

Ok, Durkin is human. Not worried about him. He was pretty damn good in the first half.

At least nobody got close enough to foul him.

Bailey's best stretch as a Wildcat.
At least that I can remember.
Some have been hard on him (guilty!) but he really came through.

Normally I'd say it's not that important if you win a game like this (OOC, after Xmas, not crucial to an NCAA invite), as long as you take some good things away from the game. But when almost everything was not good, winning is really important.

The non conference is over and I have no idea how good this Cat team is going to be.

What was the plus/minus on the five starters?

We needed that final FT to hit Massey's 73-69 prediction.

Yes, Bailey redeemed himself in those last few crucial minutes. When we consider that we won despite not having our leading scorer and letting Ohio go on some big runs, I feel good about this gutty win and am not dreading conference play as much as before.

I just noticed that.
Betting line says Cats by 1.5 with an over/under of 142.5
But ESPN analytics says Ohio has a 62.4% shot.

Massey says we're 84 playing 186. 62%. 73-69

I’m still not making reservations in Brooklyn (but maybe in Henrico County). I think we’ll do a lot better than twelfth, though, which was a preseason prediction.

This team is fun to watch.
